‘Husum’ is a very small village on an island. The people of the village has to move the village every few years because it is always under the threat of a mysterious aircraft called as ‘Danter’ that bombs them. There was a warning of bombing. People knew they will be bombed tomorrow. Most people already left the village. Manh, a daughter 16 years old girl, also has to leave next morning, but She doesn’t want to leave. Because they have only one airplane for one person, she must leave behind her father, Sanh. Manh thinks there’s no meaning to live without her father, so she doesn’t want to leave alone. However, Sanh reminds her that her own mother sacrificed her life for Manh and finally persuades her to leave. She does, but she is very sad. In the next morning, she gets on the airplane and leave, but she changes her mind and tries to come back.

Now I believe that the hope is in my small muscles to lift up my eyeild every morning. We do want to live in spite of all the abstacles and sorrows, mothing but we do not realize it. It is a very strong power. Often forgetting such a strong power has been inside of me, I have been searching for it on the outside without trusting myself. Like the intestines we cannot detech from our bodies, the hope moticates us on the inside of our bodies. although being small and immature, we are even more hopeful than we think. I would like to write it down in my notebook that we are the hope itself, indeed.
