SYNOPSIS
One shining Sunday, Young-ju is going out dressed up with fancy outfit. She is going to propose to Jun-ho who she has been in love with secretly for long time. However, when she gets the place to meet, she gets a phone call from Jun-ho that he will be late. She is hiding her disappointment because of Jae-gu and Quang-su, a Vietnamese guy, who have been invited with Jun-ho for the date. Young-ju, Jae-gu and Quang-su are spending time together wandering around Itaewon while they are waiting for Jun-ho. Quang-su and Jae-gu are enjoying the day out, whereas Young-ju is becoming bored not wanting to know nor be friend with them.
DIRECTING INTENTION
There might be many reasons why you don’t want to feel what you feel. Probably they are pointless excuses might be explained by Quang-su’s skin tone, Jae-gu’s unskillfulness, or Young-ju’s elegancy. They might forget those excuses if they are singing along – I wish. When I was developing the story, I was worried Quang-su’s skin tone and whether this story was supposed to contain bigger aspiration. Well, that sounds total bullshit to me. I still cannot stop thinking about Quang-su because I wish audience could sing along with him as well throughout the movie.
