DIRECTING INTENTION

The mortician is the last guard of human dignity. I think it is the most "human" thing, a human being can do for humans. That doesn't mean that the film explores the noble professional spirit of being an mortician. Rather, the fragile work ethic held by a mortician will give an insight to the reverse side of a society in which even death is commercialized. At the same time, the personal struggle of the mortician to preserve human dignity til the end, will also be visualized. The story will be of those who no longer live "beautifully" in today's society, showing the reality that even death is marginalized in the current age of freedom, equality and democracy. Still, despite such reality, I would like to elicit certain emotions, through the people who live on, who try to guard to the end, human dignity.
