The Sea Remembers its Hometown
NOH Hee-jeong | 2021 | Documentary, Experimental | Color | DCP | 11min 19sec (E)
The Saemangeum Seawall Project started in 1991 and is still ongoing after 30 years. An area that is roughly two-thirds the size of Seoul has been filled and an island called Gyehwado has become part of the land.
A letter to the people who have lost their sea—that perhaps the sea too remembers its own hometown.
