Future Seoul, a city of worst environmental pollution and high prices. Shin-dong, who lives helplessly in a repetitive and monotonous daily life, faces a situation where he must immediately find a new rental house due to his landlord's unilateral notice. When Shin-dong can't afford to move, his friend tells him that if he sublets part of his house, the rights become complicated and the landlord won't be able to evict him. Intrigued by his friend's advice, Shin-dong posts a sublease advertisement. Consequently, a strange newlywed couple appears wanting to live in the bathroom, and the desperate Shin-dong impulsively lets them in. Thus begins a strange and uncomfortable cohabitation. Before long, the newlywed couple starts showing bizarre behaviors, and the sensitive Shin-dong can't stand them anymore. Shin-dong hatches a plan to kick them out. Can his plan succeed?

At this chaotic time when structuralization and polarization are becoming more sophisticated in various ways around the world, I wanted to depict a somewhat extreme dystopia. Through the protagonist who gives himself up without recognizing the bare face of a social system that appears glossy on the surface but is rotten inside, we reflect on ourselves who either make desperate efforts to conform to the system and survive, or live on in helplessness. I aim to direct this familiar yet strange everyday hell that alienates not only others but even oneself, in a style that mixes black humor, psychological horror, and thriller elements.
