Day by day, the number of dead souls lining up at the entrance of the underworld increase, due to the rise in number of sudden deaths, and Messenger of Death must work overtime every day. When Messenger of Death couldn’t take it anymore, he comes up with a plan. His plan is to make the people, listed in the Sudden Death by Sleep Shortage, sleep more, and save them from dying. Meanwhile, Messenger of Death also discovers that his boss was cheating to get an early promotion. Now, Messenger of Death must compete all night with his boss, while preventing the sudden deaths of modern people from sleep shortage.

In today’s competitive modern society, many people suffer from sudden deaths due to overwork and sleep shortage. Recently, many young Koreans lost their lives due to depression, sleep disorders, and overwork, however, there haven’t been any measures made to prevent such deaths. In this story, modern people are dying in the “hell-like reality” while the Messenger of Death is trying to save their lives. The Messengers of Death, end competing among themselves for better performance. As such, the film intends to emphasize the problems of this modern society, of competition and death from overwork.
